Paul Valley produces mangoes and papayas that taste nothing like imported versions, while local grogue makes an excellent digestif—though it packs more punch than expected.

November to April offers peak conditions. Comfortable temperatures and clear mountain views make this hiking season, though accommodation fills up fastest during these months.
